“Let mothers labor to make home the happiest place in the world.”
More about me, Becca.
I’m a Christ-following, Bible-believing, wife and homeschool momma to 3. I’ve been a stay-at-home mom since 2010 but started off not knowing what my true “value” was at home. I grew up without biblical truth but always knew I wanted to get married, have babies, and stay home with them- to me, it sounded easy. I quickly figured out it was not. I wrestled and failed (still do!) for many years on how to humbly serve and submit to my husband, teach and train my children in the way they should go, and to be the keeper of my home.
The Lord began work in my heart when our children were kicked out of public school and forced to learn from home in early March 2020. It wasn’t until 2022 when we officially pulled our kids out of public school and chose to home educate, after 2 years of heavy conviction. And from there, I was being chipped and chiseled at, breaking down every assumption of what I thought a “stay-at-home mom” was. In those very vulnerable moments, I read this quote that hit home (pun intended)…
“And then she realized she was replaceable in every area of her life except her home. So she invested her time, her energy & her heart wisely.”
-Jillian Benfield
And so it began, my journey on being a true homemaker, instead of just a “stay-at-home mom”. To tell you the truth, I’m still on it and pray I always stay humble enough to be a constant learner- of God’s word & to wise, biblically sound women. This leads to why I started, For Me & My House. I want a place where momma’s can come to find encouragement to…
be home & stay home.
